September's Birchbox 2015 Review
This months theme was:
Better Together.
As always I thought the design of this box was just beautiful, this is my 2nd box from Birchbox and so far my favorite. As it was Birchbox's birthday this was their customer appreciation box and also included a coupon for 20% off a $35+ purchase in the shop.
POP Beauty POP Portfolio Eyeshadow pallate - retail $26.00
This was my sample choice for the month. I wasn't a huge fan of the featured box this month and opted for eye shadow instead. I received a lovely purple color, however even though purple is my favorite color, I just don't find myself drawn to wearing it on my eyes very often. That being said both the shades and pigmentation on this sample were great. I do recommend using an eyeshadow primer to prevent crease settling.
ModelCo Ultra Long-Lasting Lipstick Trio - retail $20.00
I received a good size sample in the shade Kitty. It's a lovely nude pink color that matches my skin tone wonderfully. Unfortunately mine arrived broken. It seems to have cracked off down inside the tube and while usable it can't be twisted up. I contacted Birchbox about this and was told I would be receiving a replacement sample in the mail but it has not shipped or arrived.
Wilma Schumann Skincare Hydrating Collagen Eye pads - retail $18.00
This was probably my least favorite sample in the box. I didn't even really want to use them but I figured why not since they are one time use only. I found these more of a nuisance than anything. They are supposed to stay on for a full 20 minutes but don't actually want to stay on your face and I didn't notice any kind of difference after using them.
Parlor by Jeff Chastain Moisturizing and Repairing Shampoo - retail $22.00
This shampoo smells so amazing I kind of want to buy it for the smell alone. I will not be buying it though because it took the entire sample to wash my shoulder length hair and it just didn't lather well or make my hair feel very good. You know how you use those shampoos that just make your hair feel silky or moisturized and full and lovely? Well this isn't it.
Parlor by Jeff Chastain Moisturizing and Repairing Conditioner - retail $22.00
With everything I din't like about the shampoo I didn't have high hopes for the conditioner either but with this I was pleasantly surprised! My hair felt soft and manageable and wonderfully tangle free and the smell, oh the smell is glorious! I only wish I loved the shampoo half as well.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, Natural Tint - retail $20.00
I was really happy to finally get a dry shampoo! A staple in my makeup bag, I am forever searching for new dry shampoos to try. This brand is actually tinted which I love since I have really dark hair but the scent isn't the greatest. it's not terrible by any means just not my fave. The size of this was perfect for stashing in my purse as well!
Overall I'd give this box a 4 star rating with my favorite item being the ModelCo lipstick. If you'd like to get your hands on Octobers box now you can get it for only $5 until October 9th!

Enjoyed reading your Sept BB review...I would have tried out several of those samples! I have selected the Davines Shampoo and Conditioner which loved in my Sept box which is really a break from all the curated/Guest Editor boxes this past year!
