November In Review.

Not Your Average Favorites.

This month started with an impromptu shopping spree, peppermint mocha bubble tea, sushi, and seeing The last Witch Hunter in theaters. The movie was okay if a little rushed. The big names featured in the film definitely make it worth seeing. It's the kind of movie that's visually striking without a lot of plot and is usually good for having on in the background while your busy doing other things.

November was a great month for mail. I entered a giveaway hosted on Twitter by Coastero  and was so lucky to be the winner! In honor of National Poetry month they were giving away a "Books & Tea" coaster set. Books and tea both happen to be two of my favorite things and the quality of these ceramic coasters is amazing! They now sit on an end table in my favorite reading nook.

Also a super crafty month I was hard at work all of November working on a ton of great shop items. The two wreaths pictured above were done at the start and end of the month and I also made 3 other crafty projects I will share next month since they're Christmas presents. My wreaths are for sale and available on Etsy!

Speaking of projects my biggest news this month is that I've opened a Redbubble store! My paintings are now available on thousands of items including clothes, housewares, and electronics cases or you can even get photo, canvas, and framed prints of my work!

I was spoiled rotten this month by my amazing husband! I received The Vorpal Bag as an early Christmas gift and I am so in love with it! The Vorpal bag is a limited edition designer handbag modeled after the video game American McGee's: Alice. American McGee himself worked with designer Yeni Zhang to hand make 200 limited edition bags. The quality is outstanding and it's made from genuine leather, real horsehair, and stainless steel. It also features a beautiful print on the inside of all of the symbols from the game. I cannot sing enough praise for the Mysterious company!

Novembers Birchbox came and went. When I first saw all of my featured items I was super excited for every single one however many just brought disappointment. I also used my points this month to purchase the Complexion Perfection Sampler, Cynthia Rowley lip stains, and 2 samples reviews for all of which can be found right here on my blog! Novembers Birchbox and the Sampler reviews have already been posted and I have reviews still coming of the other products so stay tuned!

I am always working on something whether that's arts, crafts, reading, blogging, gaming, etc, etc. but this month brought with it a ton of yarn. I have had crocheting as a hobby for a few years now and I drift back and fourth on how often I actually do it but the colder it gets the more yarn I buy. This month has been a really big deal for me because not only did I make both my husband a scarf and my grandma a cowl but I also started crocheting for charity. I have been crocheting and donating scarves for quite awhile now but in the recent few weeks I was contacted by a local nonprofit and was asked to make baby blankets. This was actually something I hadn't tried before but I love to learn new things and was happy to donate my time to the N.O.A.H. Organization.

Thanksgiving also came and went this month. I get asked a lot if it's hard to be away from my family for this holiday and my response is always the same. I miss my childhood Thanksgivings and while I do miss my family Thanksgivings at home just wouldn't be the same now. Some people have moved, some have moved on, and some have passed on. Christmas is a much harder time for me living away from my parents and in laws but Thanksgiving for us is a small personal gathering of friends. This year I cooked as per usual but we opted for ham instead of turkey. We discovered husbands work gifts us a Christmas turkey and we didn't want to have to cook two so close together. We celebrated with close friends the day before Thanksgiving since Hubby and friend had to work on the actual holiday. The nice part of this was as soon as he was off work Thanksgiving night Hubby was able to run to town for the black Friday sales!
