Christmas Haul 2015

Christmas this year with my husband was very special. It was his first time having the holiday off while working in his field. I received many amazing gifts from him this year including:
The Vorpal bag by Mysterious
A Canon T5 Digital SLR camera kit which also included two lenses, a bag, and a strap.
Final Fantasy XII and the guide for it.
The Big Bang Theory Season 7
Penny Dreadful Seasons 1&2 on Blu-Ray
A Nightmare Before Christmas Poster for out room.
Isla and The happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
The Daughter Of Smoke and Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor

He also included a lot of great candies in my stocking and 4 Lush Bath Bombs. Intergalactic(not pictured as I've already used it), Sex Bomb, Star Dust, and Guardian Of The Forest.


From my mom I received all of the supplies I need to get started doing watercolors again. Currently I am only working with acrylics. I have experience in watercolor but haven't gotten to paint with it since all of my supplies were lost in a move over 5 years ago.

From Eric's mom we received 3 boxes of snacks and goodies.

When Pumpkin was an infant we just played everything by ear and since she was nursing watched her cues on when to feed her and put her to sleep. But as she got older we found that didn't work as well anymore and ended up with a baby who liked to stay up til nearly 3 am some days. It's then that I delved into research on baby schedules. Why I Canceled Birchbox

In other news I have recently decided to cancel my Birchbox subscription after only 5 months. The whole reason I joined Birchbox in the first place was to try makeup. At first I got at least one if not a few makeup items each box with some skin and hair care products mixed in. I believe this was mostly to get me to stay because by the end of the 5 months I was no longer receiving any makeup items. The items I was receiving were not relevant to me. The profile customization seems to actually not play any part in what you receive after all. They ask you to specify your hair color (brown) and type (oily) and ask the same for your skin type (combination, acne). I, however, on multiple occasions received products for aging skin or dry skin most of which were unusable on my part and a few of the ones I did try ended up breaking me out. Update and Big News!

Hello everyone! You may have noticed a sudden absence from this blog on my part recently. This is because I have huge news! We're having a baby! That's right I'm expecting and having just entered my second trimester I thought it was a good time to finally update everyone on my progress. We told all of the important people right away and recently made a public announcement after my 12 week checkup. I've been getting a lot of questions so I thought I'd go over a few of them, answer the ones I'm comfortable with, and reflect on my first trimester. We found out I was pregnant on January 7th with two at home pregnancy tests. We then confirmed the pregnancy with an ultrasound at the doctors later in the week. It was at that point that we started to tell immediate family about the news. Week 6:  We had our doctors appointment to confirm the pregnancy,  Nausea set in, Craving Sprite and cucumbers.
