Influenster's Jingle VoxBox Review
I received the 2015 Jingle VoBox on Christmas Eve this year. It had a lot of great items included in it but first let me tell you a little bit about Influenster.
I have been an Influenster member for 2 years and in the time I have recieved 3 VoxBox's. The general purpose for reviewing products. You can review any product even if they didn't send it to you and it can improve your score. Once you've joined (cost: free!) all you have to do is connect all of your social media accounts. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Etc, Etc. The more you connect, the higher your impact, the higher your score, the more you qualify. Influenster is pretty much always sending out boxes, there definitely seems to be more than one a month at least, but you have to qualify for each box. Each box has some kind of theme and every time they are getting ready to send one out they choose a large number of people they think would benefit the most from the box. They have ones for weddings, new moms, dog owners, etc. so obviously not everyone is going to want or qualify for every single box. Instead they send you a presurvey where you answer a few questions about your life and products you use or like and then they select a certain amount of people to receive that box based on your answers. Once you receive a box you check it in and then complete tasks related to each product. This qualifies you for more upcoming boxes, increases your score, and enters you to win more products from each brand. Literally all you have to do to keep receiving boxes is review the ones you've already gotten!
Okay lets begin!
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream retail $8.99-$15.99. I was a little disappointed at first when i saw that this was one of the samples included in this box since I prefer fancier scented hand creams but after using it my opinion quickly changed. the sample size is generous and the product has zero scent which is great for at night or for those with sensitive skin. The formula is very thick yet rubs in super smooth and isn't greasy it all. It left my skin feeling silky smooth for quite a long time!
Biscoff Cookies retail $2.99. The box came with 3 packages of cookie which I think is rather generous. I had mine with a bit of cappuccino as an early snack but I won't be purchasing these. The cookies are very hard yet crumble into nothing as soon as they touch coffee and the flavor, although unique, just isn't for me.
Ore-Ida Tater Tots retail $3.99. This was a free coupon included in the box. I enjoy tater tots but don't eat them much unless it's in tater tot casserole. Ore Ida potatoes are good if a little over priced. I tend to lean more towards store brand with items like this. Great for people with children however!
Hallmark Itty Bittys retail $6.95. When I first saw i would be receiving a random Itty Bitty and the options available I was super excited. I was really hoping for one Super Hero or Star Wars characters but upon opening my box I was disappointing. Having luckily not caught "Frozen Fever" I don't really care for Olaf. However I personally don't think he actually looks much like the character and is just a really cute snow man so I'll be keeping him after all.
NYC City proof 24hr Waterproof Eyeliner retail $3.99. I am not a huge fan of eyeliner pencils any more as they tend to irritate my eyes by the end of the day. I also only really use eyeliner on my upper lid so liquid eyeliner is just easier for me. So I could review it I did use this eyeliner and although it didn't budge and went on smoothly it also irritated my eyes. This will be passed on to my mom instead.
Kiss True Volume Lashes retail $3.99. I don't often wear false lashes since I wear glasses and don't really go anywhere fancy enough for them but if I did I would definitely choose these. When i did use them they looked natural and were easy to apply even on my hood eyes. The cost is a huge plus for me as welland they have a more natural tapered unlike other lashes.
Kiss Strip Lash Adhesive retail $3.99. I used this right with the lashes I also received and it worked great. It is applied just as any other eyelash glue but has a brush applicator which I love. I also really liked that it's clear instead of the usual white.
Pure Ice Nail Polish retail $1.97. Only available at Walmart I am not the biggest fan of this brand. I really only use this polish on my toes and even then in chips far faster than the more expensive brands and forget about trying it on your hands, one sink of dirty dishes and it's gone. That being said they have a very wide range of colors and i think they would be great for younger girls who are just getting into makeup.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
