Lush Intergalactic Review and Video
For Christmas this year my wonderful husband got me 4 different Lush bath bombs, all of which I intend to review. The first I used, however, was Intergalactic. I have never used anything by Lush before so this is a first time user review.
Retails for $7.50. From the website: Ever wonder what bathing in deep space would be like? Invite the cosmos into your tub with this interstellar bomb. An awesome mix of refreshing peppermint and neon color will send your mood rocketing, while popping candy takes you on a trip around the Milky Way. Before you leap too far, rogue layers of vetivert and cedarwood take hold, evoking the warmth of human contact far from home and a hint of ‘80s aftershave.
Personally I don't feel like I smelled much peppermint as the cedarwood and aftershave scents are the most prominent in this bomb. The smell is rather masculine for my taste but nice none the less. The colors were absolutely beautiful and it was incredibly entertaining to watch in the tub. My husband was also excited to see it in action and asked that I let him know when I used it so he could come into the bathroom and watch it as well.
The primary color seen in the foam and water is blue but the swirls of yellow and pink are very beautiful. The popping candy doesn't make an appearance until the end and is quite fun and unexpected. I actually forgot this bomb included popping candy and was pleasantly surprised when the popping began.
After the foaming is done you are left with a vibrant blue and incredibly glittery tub of water. The glitter was a nice surprise and I thoroughly enjoyed bathing in it. There is a ton of it though so if you aren't a fan of glitter steer clear of this one.
I was a little concerned that the water felt oily while I was in it but it's actually very moisturizing and my skin felt very soft after getting out. However I was covered in glitter for days and the bomb left a rust colored glitter stain at the bottom of my tub. It removes easily enough but is mildly annoying.
Overall I was a huge fan of this bomb, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars for making my baths feel like I'm a glittery space mermaid.
Bonus video:
I couldn't edit this video on my laptop because it's having some issues so I had to use an online program, hence the logo. There was also a lot of talking in the background which is why I added the music and my camera kept stopping recording which explains the jumps.
I'm a new user to both Lush and my camera so hopefully my photos, videos, and reviews will improve. In the meantime let me know your favorite Lush bomb in the comments!
